Our Programs

OUR INTENSIVE PROGRAM

Our intensive program combines clinical physical therapy with structured functional training to help children and adults improve strength, movement quality, and functional independence.
Each program is individualized and supervised by licensed Physical Therapists to address the unique neurological and functional needs of every client. Through daily, focused intervention, clients work on mobility, stability, coordination, and independence in real-life activities.

A Structured, Therapist-Led Approach
Every intensive is carefully planned and overseen by licensed Physical Therapists to ensure safe, goal-directed intervention focused on meaningful functional progress.

Personalized & Goal-Focused
We establish clear, meaningful goals for each patient and tailor every session to support improvements in strength, alignment, coordination, and functional mobility.

Consistent, Intensive Training
Daily therapy sessions provide the repetition, progression, and clinical supervision needed to support motor learning and lasting functional gains.

Built for Real-Life Function
Our goal is not simply exercise — it is improved movement, stability, and independence in everyday activities.

Who Can Benefit From Our Program

NeuroWerks intensive programs are designed for children and adults who may benefit from focused physical therapy and structured functional training to improve strength, mobility, motor control, and functional independence.
Our programs support individuals with a variety of neurological and developmental conditions, including:
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Developmental delays
  • Genetic syndromes
  • Spina bifida
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Hypotonia
  • Neurological movement disorders and motor impairments
This list is not exhaustive, and many individuals with other neurological or functional challenges may also benefit.
We welcome clients starting as early as 6 months of age. Each program is individualized based on the patient’s abilities, goals, and therapeutic needs.
If you are unsure whether our program is appropriate, our team will be happy to review your information and guide you through the next steps.

HOW OUR INTENSIVE PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED

Every NeuroWerks intensive begins with a comprehensive clinical review to ensure the program is fully individualized for each client.
Our licensed Physical Therapists assess mobility, strength, alignment, coordination, and neuromuscular control to establish the clinical foundation for treatment. We then work closely with the client and family to identify meaningful functional goals that guide the program design.
Each intensive is built around measurable objectives, whether the focus is improving sitting balance, standing tolerance, gait, coordination, or overall endurance.

Structured Schedule & Duration
Intensive sessions typically run 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, providing consistent repetition, progressive strengthening, motor learning, and close clinical supervision.
Programs usually range from 3 to 6 weeks, depending on clinical recommendations, individual goals, and progress throughout the intensive. For many first-time participants, a 4-week program often provides enough time to see meaningful functional changes.
Program length and structure are finalized after clinical review and collaborative discussion with the family to ensure the plan is both effective and realistic.

Progress Tracking
Throughout the program, we use before-and-after video documentation to objectively monitor changes and highlight functional improvements over time.

REGULAR THERAPY SESSIONS
Regular sessions are ideal for individuals who are not currently participating in an intensive program, are preparing for a future intensive, or wish to maintain progress after completing an intensive.
Sessions focus on improving strength, motor control, postural stability, mobility, and functional independence through individualized therapeutic intervention and structured functional training.

Individualized Treatment
Every session is tailored to the patient’s specific needs, abilities, and goals. Intervention may include therapeutic exercises, functional training, alignment work, balance activities, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, and strength development.

Flexible Scheduling
Sessions typically last 2 hours. Adjustments may be made in specific cases based on age or clinical considerations. Frequency may vary from occasional visits to multiple sessions per week.

Who Can Benefit
Regular sessions may be appropriate for individuals who:
  • Are building foundational strength and skills
  • Need ongoing support before or after an intensive program
  • Prefer a lower-intensity schedule
  • Are newly beginning therapy
  • Require targeted intervention for specific functional goals

Evaluation Requirement
All patients are required to complete an initial evaluation before beginning therapy to ensure services are safe, appropriate, and individualized.

Continuity of Care
Regular sessions can complement other therapies and support continued progress over time.
Step Up for Students funding may be used when applicable.

Therapeutic Techniques & Equipment We Utilize

At NeuroWerks, our programs combine evidence-informed therapeutic interventions with structured functional training to support improvements in strength, mobility, postural control, coordination, and functional independence. Each intervention is selected based on the patient’s clinical presentation, abilities, and individualized goals.

Therapeutic Interventions (Led by Licensed PTs/PTAs)
Our licensed Physical Therapists incorporate established clinical approaches that may include:
  • TheraSuit (Soft Dynamic Proprioceptive Orthotic System)
  • Universal Exercise Unit / Cage Therapy (Pulley & Spider System)
  • Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES / FES), when appropriate
  • Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) principles
  • Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF)
  • Neuromuscular re-education techniques
  • Sensory integration strategies
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Myofascial release techniques
  • Whole-body vibration therapy

Structured Functional Training
To reinforce therapeutic goals and promote real-life functional skills, we integrate progressive strengthening and mobility training that may include:
  • Functional strength training
  • Postural alignment and stabilization
  • Balance and coordination training
  • Functional gait training (walker, cane, or independent gait)
  • Adapted treadmill training, including unweighted systems
  • Functional circuit activities
  • Adapted bike training
  • Task-specific training for daily activities
  • Agility and endurance conditioning

We utilize specialized equipment to provide safe support, controlled resistance, and optimal alignment, allowing clients to practice movement patterns efficiently and confidently while working toward meaningful functional progress.

Home Exercise Program (HEP)

Home Exercise Program (HEP)
At NeuroWerks, progress does not stop when sessions end. Consistency between visits is essential for meaningful functional gains, which is why every intensive program includes a personalized Home Exercise Program (HEP).

What is the HEP?
A customized exercise plan designed specifically to support your functional goals, abilities, and clinical needs.

Accessible Anytime, Anywhere
Your program is delivered through an online platform, allowing you to access exercises, instructions, and demonstrations whenever needed.

Clear Guidance & Support
Each exercise includes detailed instructions along with visual demonstrations (photos or videos) to promote safe technique, confidence, and independence when practicing at home.

Why the HEP Matters
The Home Exercise Program reinforces the progress achieved during intensive sessions and supports continued strengthening, coordination, and functional development between visits.
Our goal is to provide families with practical tools that extend therapeutic progress beyond the clinic and into everyday life.

Embark on a holistic wellness journey with Neurowerks, where your progress is supported not only in our studio but also in the comfort of your home. The HEP is your tool for maintaining and enhancing the gains achieved during your sessions.
